Art students continue their painting projects in watercolor and acrylic. The younger class went on a scavenger hunt to improve their color vocabulary while preschoolers built with blocks and used watercolor paint.

Wanted: Teen Art Interns!!

Teen Interns Wanted for Summer Art Camps!

If you love art and working with children this internship is for you….

This opportunity will provide you the following:

  • Experience working with kids of all ages
  • Leadership skills
  • College resume building
  • LOTS of fun
  • An official “internship completed” certificate

Who can apply?

  • Going into 8th grade or higher
  • Hard working, enthusiastic teens
  • Interested in art and children
What is expected of an intern?
  • Arrive at the art center a half an hour before camp begins to assist in setting up
  • Be available during camp to help campers and teacher
  • Some campers will stay for both morning and afternoon camps: interns will be with students during the lunch hour.
  • Assist with clean up at the end of the day
  • Help the art camp experience to be positive and fun for each camper!

What next?

  • Fill out application (email melcat23@gmail.com)
  • Turn into the art room or office
  • Specify what week/s you can intern: 8th grade students can only assist in elementary-aged camps, high school students in elementary or middle school camp.

Spring quarter continues with the preschool class experiencing new materials and exploring new ideas. The painting classes are focusing on composition and layering paint. The adult ceramics class is keeping busy with various projects.
