Spring Quarter has Begun!
Painting with charcoal: very messy!
The first week of the Spring Quarter has been fantastic! This quarter focuses on painting and we began by looking at some of the oldest paintings in the cave of Lascaux. Students made paint from ground up charcoal as we talked about pigments and vehicles (or binders). Next we talked about value and students created value scales with black and white paint. More painting fun to come!
